Tracy Edwards, the yachtswoman, made history 25 years ago by leading the first all-female crew to the finish line of the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1990.

Among her many achievements, Tracy was named Sportswoman of the Year in 1990 an awarded and MBE.

Tracy is currently in the process of rescuing her old boat Maiden from the pirate infested waters of the Indian Ocean.  Maiden, an iconic chapter in British Maritime History will then work with The Maiden Rescue Charity as an Ambassador for Girls’ Rights in the UK and Girls’ Education developing countries.
