The paradox in this noble aspiration is that, in order to achieve realistic gender balance, we need gender-balanced action. Yet, with a topic that many men believe to be a women’s issue, how do we make it pertinent to women AND men? What will make gender-balance relevant to men and galvanise them into action not just for and on behalf of women, but also for their own sake? After all, the definition of ‘gender’ doesn’t stop at women.
