Women Reshaping  Their Financial Futures

During the last decade there have been noticeable developments for women in education and in the workplace.

According to the Higher Education Statistics Agency, recent figures show women accounted for 55% of all full-time students in higher education and 57% of postgraduates, and with regards to employment, the rate of employment for women in the UK for the three months to June 2018 was 71.0%.

Women are living longer than their male counterparts. Research conducted by Public Health England (1981 – 2016) revealed that women are outliving men by 3.6 years, which means they will require more savings to cover their expenses during retirement.

Yet the subject of financial well-being remains one of the least discussed topics amongst the UK’s female population.
