The theme of this year’s International Men’s Day is to focus on the positive value men bring to their world, their families and their communities. With this in mind, we ask “Just how different are men from women?”

27 years since John Gray’s “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” was first published, in this webinar Phil Cox takes a look at how the gender landscape has shifted, and what it REALLY means to be a man in the 21st century. Based on his experience as both a therapist and a leadership coach, Phil explores the differences – and perhaps more importantly the SIMILARITIES – between the genders regarding their personal values, identity and definitions of success. In reality, do men and women have more in common when it comes to their hopes, fears and dreams than society would lead us to believe? Phil looks at the pressures society places on males to be “the perfect man”, and some of the potentially devastating consequences of those pressures, and asks, “How can we help men to be truly authentic leaders?”. This session will be of interest to anyone of any gender who has ever been told to, or considered whether they need to “man up” in order to succeed!
