Impactful Programmes – what initiatives and training work and what kind of programmes don’t work and why.

For years companies have tried to address the lack of diversity within their ranks with numerous costly programmes – from women’s leadership programmes to unconscious bias training to setting targets and KPIs.  Most, however, have failed to make much of an impact and, in some cases, have even had the opposite effect. 

Why is that?  What makes a programme or iniative work?  And how do we know in advance whether the programmes currently being contemplated will make a difference?
