This year’s IWD theme, #BalanceforBetter, is a call to action to improve gender balance in our boardrooms, governments, media and sports coverage, in attainment of wealth and more. Yet many of us are looking to company leaders, government officials and policy makers to bring gender balance to our world. Of course, we all know that, in order to achieve a change in societal norms, the change must start with us. So, instead of asking others to drive gender balance, each one of us can take small steps that will lead us to a better balance in life and work.
